Job Description

This Critical Care RN role involves independent practice in complex clinical settings, providing routine and advanced patient care aligned with treatment plans.

• Responsibilities include utilizing the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation—while addressing patients’ psychological, emotional, social, cultural, and spiritual needs.
  
  
• Ensures safe, evidence-based care, administers medications, documents accurately, and educates patients and families.
  
  
• Manages patient flow, anticipates admissions/discharges, and participates in unit operations, staffing, and quality improvement.
  
  
• Maintains compliance with healthcare regulations, follows clinical policies, and ensures equipment safety.
  
  
• Requires a BSN (preferred), minimum 2 years ICU and another specialty experience (5 years preferred), BLS, ACLS, and RN license in the state or compact.
