We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Food and Beverage Analyst to join our Home Office team. The Food and Beverage Analyst will report to the Controller and to the Director of Financial Operations.

As an ambassador of The Indigo Road, you’ll authentically embrace Internal Hospitality, be a servant leader and authentically love what you do!

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Analyze sales trends and opportunities including costs of goods and services.
  • Tracking positive or negative trends that need to be addressed
  • Creating labor reports to identify positive or negative trends
  • Collaboration with accounting team
  • Generate reports on financial performance
  • Identify areas for cost reduction
  • Recommend product pricing strategies
  • Examine and communicate business forecasts and budgets
  • Monitor inventory levels and communicate concerns
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis as needed

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • In depth understanding of food and beverage costs across various concepts like Italian, Steakhouse, Sushi.
  • Ability to read profit and loss statements more in depth and achieve a better understanding.
  • Learn how budgets are created in restaurants based on concept type.
  • Learn how to effectively communicate variances in financials and best approach for correction.
  • Understand how restaurant software benefits cost controls and best practices.
Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience with data analysis tools like Excel
  • Familiarity with the food and beverage industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in financial modeling
  • Experience with QuickBooks and online restaurant software (i.e Margin Edge, Restaurant 365)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • At least 2 years of experience in data analysis
  • Strong knowledge of financial and statistical analysis
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Well versed in creating reports for upper management
  • Ability to travel to locations that may need assistance managing costs – 30% Travel required
  • Flexible to work nights and weekends when necessary, based on business and staffing needs.
