We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Firewatch Shipyard Help. As a Firewatch Shipyard Help, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of the shipyard by monitoring hot work activities and maintaining a safe work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor hot work activities to ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures
- Maintain a safe work environment by identifying and reporting potential hazards
- Conduct fire prevention inspections and report any issues to the appropriate personnel
- Respond to emergency situations and assist in the implementation of emergency procedures
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements:Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify potential hazards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipyard or industrial setting
- Knowledge of fire prevention and safety procedures
- Basic understanding of hot work activities and associated hazards
