Do you have FARM Income Tax experience and are looking to work for a small business working with the local farming community?

Our client is located in Appleton, and is looking for a Farm Income Tax Preparer . They provide complete farm income tax planning, farm income tax filing, record keeping and farm analysis and other assistance to operating farms including transferring the farm to the next generation.

 

You must have the ability to organize financial documents and create accurate documentation. You will work closely with our team of senior farm tax preparers to ensure that all forms are completed accurately and on time. 

Responsibilities:

• Prepare farm income taxes
• Prepare financial reports
• Calculate depreciation expenses
• Perform tax research
• Analyze financial statements
• Calculate payroll taxes
• Help farms with QuickBooks or other accounting records

General Information: 

Hours: 30-60 hours per week, the hours fluctuate based on the season. Core hours are approximate 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday. See below.

*During tax season will work an average of 60 hours per week

*During off tax season, approximately April-15 to June and August and September will work an average of 30-45 hours per week

Length: Direct Hire

Pay: $80K/year-$100K/year, based on experience

• Must have 5+ years of Farm income tax experience
• Prefer Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• Basic Word and Excel knowledge, usage of a computer tax package, QuickBooks knowledge is a plus
• Outgoing, ability to converse with farms
• Organized, driven and self motivated
• Must have a valid drivers license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation
