Embedded Software Engineer - Contract

Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer
Job location: Bothell, WA (Onsite)
Bill Rate: $75 per hour

The Role:

1. Design and develop software solutions, platforms, or references.
2. Design, code, and test (unit and integration) for embedded systems.
3. Participate in determining system, subsystem, and interface specifications.
4. Validate technology assumptions, evaluate alternatives, and define requirements.
5. Test and review code.

You're the right fit if:

• You have a minimum of a BS in Software/Electrical/Computer Engineering or equivalent from an accredited university.
• You have at least 8 years of experience in software design and development for embedded software/firmware.
• You are experienced in programming languages C/C++ and have a strong understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Experience in the medical industry or highly regulated industries, with familiarity with IEC 62304, FDA guidance, and other relevant standards, is highly preferred.
• You have experience with RTOS-based embedded software, preferably Azure RTOS/ThreadX.
• You are familiar with hierarchical state machines, peripherals, and drivers.
• You have hands-on experience with SPI, I2C, PWM, ADC, DAC, eMMC, USB, UARTs, memory management, scheduling, interrupts, and multi-threading.
• You have developed with microcontrollers such as STM, NXP, etc., and possess domain knowledge in hardware/software integration.
• Experience with GitHub, CI/CD, VSCode, Docker Dev Containers is preferred.
• You have knowledge of wireless communication technologies like Bluetooth, NFC, LTE modem.
• You understand SDLC, design patterns, multithreading, and code reviews.
• Experience with Agile development practices, including scaled agile framework (SAFe), is preferred.
• You are knowledgeable about communication interfaces, network protocols, and standards.
• You understand software/firmware testing methodologies, with gtest experience preferred.

Mandatory Skills: Embedded. Experience: 5-8 Years. Expected annual pay ranges from $60,000 to $135,000. Wipro offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, disability insurance, paid time off, and other leave options.
