As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll play an essential role in empowering individuals with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling, independent lives. Your compassion, patience, and dedication will help create a positive and supportive environment for those we serve.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing direct care and support to individuals in their daily activities.
- Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Supporting individuals in achieving their personal goals and fostering independence.
- Promoting a safe and nurturing environment.
- Transporting individuals to appointments, activities, or community outings.
- Documenting daily progress and ensuring compliance with care plans.
To thrive in this role, you’ll need:
- 1 year of experience in a similar role or a related field.
- A caring, empathetic, and patient demeanor.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
- A valid driver’s license (if transportation is part of the role).
