Due to increased demand and a desire to maintain exceptional patient care, we are seeking qualified and reliable Dental Assistant Substitutes and Dental Hygienist Substitutes to join our team on a temporary or on-call basis.

Position Overview:
As a Dental Assistant or Hygienist Substitute, you will step into an essential role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. This is an excellent opportunity for a flexible and experienced dental professional looking to fill in as needed to cover for scheduled absences or high-demand periods. You will work closely with our team to provide exceptional care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the dentist during exams and procedures (for dental assistants).
• Perform professional dental cleanings, periodontal therapy, and patient education (for hygienists).
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
• Take and develop dental X-rays, ensuring proper safety protocols.
• Record and maintain accurate patient medical and dental histories.
• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Provide exceptional patient care, making them feel comfortable and informed throughout the treatment process.
• Collaborate with the dental team to ensure the highest quality of care and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

For Dental Assistants :

• Graduation from an accredited dental assistant program.
• Dental assistant certification (CDA) preferred 
• CPR certification.
• Prior experience in a dental office setting preferred.

For Dental Hygienists :

• Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
• State licensure in dental hygiene (RDH).
• CPR certification.
• Prior experience in a clinical dental setting preferred.

Key Skills and Abilities:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to patient care and comfort.
• Knowledge of dental software and digital radiography is a plus.
• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to varying schedules and patient needs.
