Baucom Plumbing Contracting, Inc. seeks an experienced Plumber foreman to join our team. Opportunity for growth and advancement! We offer competitive pay and benefits!

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Install and repair water, gas, and other plumbing systems in commercial and residential environments.
• Run copper, cast iron, PVC, and other plumbing systems
• Inspect structures, locating and marking positions of pipe, connections, and passages within walls and floors.
• Troubleshoot and test installed plumbing systems.
• Assemble, install, maintain, or repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, water heaters, etc., utilizing correct procedures and/or hardware.
• Utilize blueprints or technical diagrams following state or local building codes.
• Promote, maintain, and adhere to OSHA regulations.

Experience:

• At least 3 years of related residential or commercial experience
• Must be able to work independently or lead a crew
• Working experience using blueprints or technical diagrams.
• Experience in layout and installation of all sizes of copper, cast iron, gas, acid waste, and PVC pipe.

R equired Education:

• Diploma from a Trade School or successful completion of Apprenticeship

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Proven experience as a plumber
• Solid understanding of water distribution and disposal systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings
• Working knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances
• Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers, etc.)
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Friendly with a great deal of patience
• Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces.

Work Environment:

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance and lift equipment.
• Repeated bending, twisting, stooping, kneeling, and climbing up and down ladders.
• Daily travel to work site location. Must be willing to travel out of town as needed.
• Exposure to electrical, steam, and high heat units that require extreme caution and safety equipment.
• Occasional to frequent exertion in high and low-temperature environments (overheated kitchens, rooftops, outdoors, etc.).
• We are a drug-free environment, subject to random drug testing at the owner's discretion.
