Job Description
Job Summary/Job Purpose: The Clinical Field Specialist provides respiratory care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory diseases. In this role, you will be responsible for educating patients on respiratory care and equipment (not including invasive and non-invasive ventilators), conducting diagnostic tests, developing treatment plans, and monitoring patient progress.
Job Duties / Essential Functions: Ability to set up and operate all respiratory care equipment and supplies in use, including CPAP and Bilevel devices, pulse oximetry and portable oxygen concentrators and in accordance with the specific treatment parameters prescribed by the patient's doctor.
Educates patient, family, or caregiver on the equipment use and functions (not including invasive and non-invasive ventilators), therapy orders, and disease process. Provides guidance and directions for basic troubleshooting.
Evaluates the appropriateness of the patient's treatment plan, monitors progress and collaborates with care team to change or modify therapy.
Reviews and verifies patient orders within Brightree. Depending on the location, may be required to pull equipment from warehouse/inventory, assemble, and stage for delivery.
Documents patient treatment plan, their response, any revisions to therapy plan. Communicates with care team at various intervals to ensure patient care.
Understands and practices the rules regarding patient confidentiality, HIPPA and compliance, and safety. Adhere to all state and federally mandated standards regarding confidentiality and patient rights.

Requirements
Skills / Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited LPN or Paramedic Program.
Current Licensure as an LPN or Paramedic in the State of Pennsylvania, or State of Ohio (if applicable), State of West Virginia (if applicable), State of New York (if applicable).
Current CPR (BLS)
1 to 3 years prior experience working in respiratory care.
Valid state Driver's License
Strong communication skills and able to communicate with care team and patients according to their level and abilities.
Able to work independently and part of a team.
Solid organizational skills and detail oriented.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
Ability to read charts, physician orders, and medical records. Medcare Equipment Company
