Are you an experienced CDL Truck Driver looking for a new opportunity?

Acara Solutions is hiring for our client in Lake Zurich, IL . The primary responsibility in this role will be driving a small local delivery box truck for deliveries primarily within the local Chicago area. 

What you'll do: 

• Drive semi-trucks and box trucks for local and regional deliveries.
• Complete 1-2 full-day trips per week from Chicago to Cincinnati.
• Perform vehicle maintenance checks and ensure trucks are in good working condition.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure timely and efficient deliveries.
• Completion of all company-required paperwork related to delivery tracking and receipt by customers.
• Use route navigation apps and knowledge of the area to deliver packages/cargo to customers and/or vendors on time.
• Maintain electronic logs to track routes and deliveries.
• Keep accurate records of gas usage, miles, and other data.
• Keep the company vehicle interior and exterior clean.
• Assist with loading and unloading of containers and/or freight as needed.

What you'll get:

• Monday to Friday
• Regular Hours: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (flexible)
• No weekends or holidays
• Hourly Rate: $30-$35 per hour depending upon experience

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications: 

• High school diploma or GED required
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience as a driver
• Valid Class A CDL driver's license 
• A clean DMV record and ability to pass a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing schedules
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be a team player with good communication skills
• Experience operating a forklift is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time
• Able to lift 50 pounds independently - This position is not responsible for unloading at customer facilities but may need to assist from time to time with loading/unloading deliveries at company facility.
