Job Description
Job Summary: The Category Manager will be responsible for managing a specific category of products, developing strategies to maximize sales and profitability, and ensuring the category meets customer needs. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and strong communication abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and supply chain to optimize product assortment and pricing.
- Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of products.
- Monitor category performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet business objectives.
- Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed decisions on product selection and merchandising.
- Prepare and present regular reports on category performance to management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Proven experience in category management, retail management, or a similar role.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and category management software.
