Job Description

Job Summary: The Category Manager will be responsible for managing a specific category of products, developing strategies to maximize sales and profitability, and ensuring the category meets customer needs. This role requires a blend of analytical skills, strategic thinking, and strong communication abilities. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement category strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, sales, and supply chain to optimize product assortment and pricing.
• Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Monitor category performance and adjust strategies as needed to meet business objectives.
• Analyze sales data and customer feedback to make informed decisions on product selection and merchandising.
• Prepare and present regular reports on category performance to management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Proven experience in category management, retail management, or a similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid work environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and category management software.
