Job Description

Our client is a growing business known for their commitment to quality and personalized service. They are seeking a dependable and experienced Bookkeeper who is proficient in Paycom to handle payroll, financial recordkeeping, and light AP/AR functions.

Position Overview:
The Bookkeeper will work closely with the client's leadership team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and payroll processing. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, trustworthy, and familiar with small business accounting practices-especially within the Paycom platform.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and record daily financial transactions, including A/P and A/R
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements with general ledger accounts
• Process payroll bi-weekly through Paycom , including any updates to employee records
• Handle employee onboarding/offboarding and time tracking in Paycom
• Ensure payroll tax compliance and support year-end reporting
• Generate periodic financial reports and summaries for internal use
• Support the monthly close process and coordinate with external accountants
• Maintain organized and up-to-date financial files
  

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Solid bookkeeping experience, preferably supporting small businesses
• Strong proficiency with Paycom payroll
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
• Understanding of payroll and financial compliance requirements
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law in geographies that require salary range disclosure, Vaco/Highspring notes the salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
