Tennessee Health Care Campaign Seeks Board Members January 2025
Vision: All Tennesseans will have access to affordable, high-quality, and equitable health care.
Mission: THCC advocates for public policies and programs that improve the health and well-being of all Tennesseans.
The Tennessee Health Care Campaign (THCC) was founded in 1989 as a statewide, volunteer-led non-profit. Our vision has always been that ALL Tennesseans will have affordable, high-quality, and equitable access to healthcare. While we are closer to that vision than we were in 1989, we all know there is much more work to be done here in Tennessee and at the federal level to realize that vision.
We are an innovative organization looking to unite all Tennesseans to improve our healthcare system. We are a non-partisan group working to become the lead organization in research, policy, and design.
We are recognized for statewide organizing skills, providing health policy education at our annual conference, ensuring low-income and marginalized populations receive access to vaccines through our Vaccine Equity program, leading in research through the Rural Health Equity Project, and providing free assistance to residents so that they can effectively enroll in TennCare, Cover Kids, Medicare, Medicaid and through the marketplace through InsuraeALLTN.
Board Position Requirements:
We are currently seeking applicants for volunteer board positions with THCC. Our board has educators, facilitators, medical professionals such as nurses and doctors, social workers, and religious, corporate, and nonprofit leaders.

We require a 3-year commitment to the board and participating in one of our sub-committees. Board members must attend 3 of the 4 quarterly meetings that run on Saturdays for 2-3 hours. All meetings are remote.
Our main sub-committees include: the education committee that designs our annual conference, the rural health committee that guides our equity project, the advocacy committee that focuses on organizing and fostering relationships with our state legislature, and the fundraising committee focused on grant writing and future opportunities.
Must have a social justice “heart”
Knowledge that you are working toward a more equitable health care system in Tennessee.
