Job Description

Description:

Parma Tavern in Buford is Looking for a Bartender!

We offer an eclectic mix of Italian-inspired pub grub featuring stone oven pizzas cooked in our 600-degree brick oven, fresh pasta with made-from-scratch sauces, house-grind burgers, and small plates perfect for sharing. Our commitment to excellent customer service is what motivates us, and we are dedicated to seeking outstanding team members who share our passion for serving guests and preparing high-quality food and beverages. If you love great food too and can provide our guests with world-class service in a “no attitude” atmosphere, we’d love for you to join our team!

You have heard businesses tell you how much their team operates and feels like a family, but Parma truly does. We have had many of the same employees for the better part of the last ten years. We work hard, we’re there for one another, and we take care of our guests. We strive every day to provide a fun and safe atmosphere and deliver a phenomenal dining experience for all who walk through our doors.

The ideal candidate is someone who is a hard worker, a self-starter, maintains a strong work ethic, and possesses the intangibles we are looking for - helpful, kind, fun to be around, and guest-obsessed. Having a great knowledge of beer, liquor, wine, and cocktails is necessary. A minimum of two years of high-volume bartending experience is preferred. In the simplest of terms, if you’re looking for a great place to work with a great clientele, a high level of consistency, and the support of your peers and management, this is the opportunity for you.

Rate of Pay: $2.13 an hour plus tips

Availability: Days, Night (late night), and Weekend Availability Needed

  • Prepare bar areas for drinking/dining by setting decor, condiments, candles, napkins, service plates, and utensils, per restaurant standards.
  • Ensure that bars are stocked with glasses, garnishes, drink mixes, and ice.
  • Product order placement - when orders arrive from vendors, they will be put up in a timely manner following store rotation procedures and display processes. Alert management before the product runs out - low levels. Nothing 86’d.
  • Stay updated on current trends, house specialties, and the menu.
  • Maintain bar/table setting by removing courses as completed, replenishing utensils, refilling water glasses, and being alert to patron spills or other special needs.
  • Properly open and pour wine/beer/spirits.
  • Will take part in pour testing and cocktail, and menu testing.
  • Conclude dining/drinking experience by acknowledging choice of restaurant, inviting patrons to return. Market yourself and your shift. Build your business.
