Salesforce is looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join the Agentforce Core Engineering Team! The Agentforce Core Engineering Team is responsible for developing and maintaining entities, APIs, and business logic that store configuration and state for the Agentforce Product and the new Digital Agent Platform. Your role is to help deliver the power of Agentforce and Generative AI Digital Agents to all of our clouds and build a platform that we can continue to enhance and evolve over time. The ideal candidate will help us integrate new features end-to-end, assist with managing Salesforce processes, and mentor the team around Salesforce technologies. Experience with Salesforce Core development is highly desired. Responsibilities include building, scaling, and maintaining critical and innovative features of the Agentforce Core platform, understanding customer/business requirements and translating them to platform capabilities, participating in software design discussions, developing test strategies, designing automation frameworks, writing unit and functional tests, adopting agile development practices, and working in a fast-paced environment. Required skills include excellent interpersonal skills, BS in Computer Science or related technical degree, 3+ years of professional software development experience, high proficiency in Java, understanding of database technologies such as SQL and PL/SQL, experience in automated testing using Java, JUnit, JSUnit, and experience in REST-based API development and lifecycle management. Preferred skills include Salesforce Core Platform experience and a track record of being a top performer.
