Genesis Systems, Inc. and Related Entities are a group of companies that provide Information Technology Services (software development, support, hosting, etc.), and other diverse activities. Operating nationally and internationally, the group has been in existence for over 37 years and continues to expand its operations. Genesis has 2 Attorneys on staff currently serving in this role (one with us for over 10 years, the other 3). We have found that Attorneys tired of litigation work fit the role.

This expansion position is in Harrisburg, PA and is perfect for an Attorney that is wishing to leave traditional legal environments. The position manages software application projects, conducts business development activities, and works with the corporate legal office on all legal matters. No minimum experience is required.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as primary liaison between client and various internal organizations including but not limited to programming, quality assurance, and marketing
• Work with individual team members to define, schedule, track, and communicate the status of all work taking place within those teams
• Develop and maintain all project materials including but not limited to project work plans, risk analysis documentation, functional documentation, action items, and scope logs.
• Recognize and communicate add-on work to management
• Conduct business development activities
• Assist with legal matters

Requirements:

The ideal candidate would:

• Be familiar with IT applications and environments
• Be a quality oriented, well-organized, self-starter with strong managerial and technical writing skills.
• Effectively communicate internally with clients
• Be highly motivated and self-directed
• The ability to develop project managerial skills
• Develop and maintain facilitation techniques and strong presentation skills
• Strong communication (oral and written), organization, and administrative skills
• Limited travel as required by projects
• Able to use: MS Office products (Project, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio, etc.)
• CANDIDATE MUST HAVE A CURRENT VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND BE ABLE TO PASS A BACKGROUND CHECK AND DRUG TEST

Education & Experience:

• JD; state license a plus
• Recent law school grads are encouraged to apply
• B.A/B.S. or higher degree(s)
