Overview: Neighborhood Healthcare is committed to providing high-quality health services to our communities. We are seeking a dedicated and detail oriented volunteer to join our team as an Administrative Assistant. This is an opportunity to contribute to the community by supporting our mission to provide quality healthcare to all individuals. As an Administrative Assistant volunteer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our operations team and ensuring the smooth operation of our Wellness Visit services! Please note, this is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Verifying patient eligibility for services using several resources (Claim Remedi, eCW, web portals, telephone communication)
• Scheduling patients for annual Wellness Visits and other necessary visits
• Educating patients on the importance/benefits of Wellness Visits
• Using the patient care tool to text patients their screening forms so they can complete after their appointment
• Uploading patient progress notes to Cozeva

Qualifications:

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is a plus but not required
• Bilingual - English/Spanish highly preferred

Time Commitment: This volunteer position requires a commitment of 16 hours per week, with flexible scheduling options available. Volunteers must adhere to the agreed-upon schedule and give notice of scheduling conflicts. Our hours of operation are Monday-Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
